Your role will have a high level of input into key decisions which drive data governance for Direct Channels, and be instrumental in the strategic data transformation journey required to uplift the data governance maturity of the Direct Channels portfolio

The Data and Decision Science - Direct Channels team provides a vital support mechanism across Direct Channels, including Direct Lending, Direct Banking and Customer Solutions. Key functions of the team are Productivity, Management Information, Workforce Planning, Support of Business Systems and the delivery of major projects.

The Data & Reporting Solutions team is accountable for best in class operational management information reporting across each of the 3 businesses.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Analyst, Data Governance role is to primarily lead the analysis, design and implementation of strategic Data Management and Governance projects analysis, design and implementation of strategic Data Management and Governance projects for Direct Channels.

More specifically:

  • Perform in-depth analysis of data / information required to support the development and implementation of data management strategy and governance framework
  • Lead requirement gathering and other data governance and management related workshops
  • Prepare assessment reports and support in business case development
  • Analysis and review of business processes and critical reports to establish baseline data elements, definitions and relevant data taxonomies
  • Coordinate with the technical team in developing metadata and data lineage project artefacts using the agreed development standards, processes and patterns / designs
  • Ensure any designs, strategy/frameworks and recommendations developed are aligned with the Strategy, Group Risk and CDO’s principles, policies and standards

We are interested in hearing from you…

  • Strong business analysis experience in large and complex enterprise environments ideally within financial services, within the ability to analysis large amounts of data through either SQL/SAS
  • Strong communications skills, able to bridge the gap between business (product managers, risk manager etc.) and technical teams.
  • Experience working within Data Management, Governance projects and framworks
  • Experience with developing / configuring data catalogue, data lineage and data quality • Tertiary qualifications in Business and/ or Information Technology (desirable)
  • 3 years of experience with extensive knowledge of data quality/governance background
