Position title: Administrative Assistant - Government - Defence
Contract Estimation Duration: Immediate start - 4 months (with a possibility of extension(s))

Defence Security - Baseline Clearance Essential

Purpose of this position:
The requirement is to undertake the scanning and registration of corporate records within the Defence Record Keeping
Under limited direction the person will be required to complete the following deliverables:

  • Scan individual corporate files in PDF format;
  • Assess each scanned image for accuracy (e.g. replicate of the physical records);
  • Identify PDF image for re-scanning (if applicable);
  • Registration of PDF image and the capturing of relevant metadata in Objective
  • Manage the cataloguing of physical records in preparation for offsite storage

    General Requirements:
    The duties of a Scanning Officer occupation in Defence include the following (note: not all duties are required to be performed during a 12 month performance cycle):
    1. Perform business administration tasks under general direction from supervisor, making decisions within defined parameters.
    2. Contribute new ideas and identify opportunities to improve the work of the team.
    3. Monitor task progress against performance expectation to ensure deadlines are met.
    4. Listen to stakeholders and understand the relationships between business priorities and tasks.
    5. Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in teamwork and group activities.
    6. Interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks and international and national standards.
    7. Prioritise workload and monitor task progress.
