Governance PMO Lead to provide leadership developing, implementing and maintaining governance & project management frameworks, standards and processes

Large enterprise organisation based in Darwin and delivering complex, high value, and / or high-risk ICT programs and multi-year digital transformation initiatives have an opportunity for a Governance PMO Lead to provide leadership in developing, implementing and maintaining key governance and project management frameworks, standards and processes relating to the Enterprise Project Services Programs and Projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and maintenance of governance for the management of the EPS Programs and Projects.
  • Support the Director Program Governance in the successful delivery of service outputs and the achievement of planned outcomes.
  • Work with the program and project teams to produce, communicate, review, maintain and monitor governance arrangements.
  • Maintain effective reporting systems and provision of quality reports, submissions, briefings regarding all areas of responsibility against program performance indicators and other strategic priorities.
  • Lead the coordination of stakeholders on governance issues relevant to program initiatives.
  • Proactively contribute to the development and achievement of team goals and plans, and support the Program to achieve objectives.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the data governance/management framework and related standards/processes
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the EPS project management processes.
  • Manage the Data Governance/Management and Program Services teams effectively.
  • Conduct a review of the EPS program/project reporting requirements and establish a new EPS program/project reporting framework.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • High level understanding of program/project management practices and methodologies.
  • Previous experience in program/project governance and/or PMO role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • High ability to draft accurate and succinct meeting records, reports, briefings and submissions, develop recommendations, monitor and follow-up action items.
  • High quality organisational skills and ability to manage a diverse workload and competing priorities as well as managing a team.
  • Working knowledge of industry and Australian standards in ICT governance frameworks, systems and processes.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in project management.
  • Degree in relevant discipline such as ICT, business or law.

The successful applicant will be required to be based in Darwin for the duration of the contract.
