Your new role
As a member of the Sales and Marketing Team this position reports directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing. The role is responsible for managing the sales and marketing strategy across the business and interfacing with Line of Business. Furthermore, the role will aim to build strong and intimate relationships with both existing and new customers. The role will be responsible for managing the Electronics and wider Defence business development activities in order to identify new opportunities and prospects to include within the LA pipeline. The incumbent needs to champion the business winning process, lead capture and campaign teams and perform bid management to ensure timely successful offers.

You will also be expected to -

  • Secure order intake to meet forecast targets for current and future years by managing a portfolio of key campaigns and opportunities.
  • Responsibility to identify and create opportunities for future sales / growth.
  • Work closely with Integrated Project Teams and across the wider company to lead and coordinate all aspects of bid activity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, end users and industrial partners.
  • Fulfil a critical coordination role, developing and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders including International Marketing, the Capability function, Divisions and other functional areas
  • Utilise internal company procedures to ensure that opportunities are identified, tracked and accurately reported to senior management.
  • Effective management and utilisation of the Business Winning to prosecute campaigns.
  • Provide input and general support for communications events, including exhibitions, demonstrations and conferences.

What you'll need to succeed Formal Education/Certification/Clearance Requirements:

  • At least >5 years previous experience in Sales and Marketing in the Aerospace, Electronics and Defence sector
  • Experience working with Platform Manufacturers
  • Must be able to apply for Australian security clearance i.e Hold Australian Citizenship
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or similar
  • Experience in Australian Defence Force
  • Excellent knowledge of military systems and capability
  • Experience working in Defence industry
  • Quick learner
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, presentation, bid and tender skills
  • Ability to interface within complex international organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Advanced communication & negotiation skills
  • Ability to create networks and influence stake holders internally and externally
  • Ability to both address strategic and operational commercial issues
