JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Policy & Programs is accountable for the development, management and continuous improvement of emergency management policy (working in partnership with sector and service partners), with a focus on building resilience, and minimising the impact of emergencies on communities and individuals, especially the most vulnerable. The role is responsible for driving innovative and community centric programs to derive improved outcomes in the event of an emergency.
The Manager, Policy and Programs is also accountable for providing emergency management policy advice to senior management, our Ministers, Health, Human Services and Emergency Management sectors.
