About The Role

Role Location- Melbourne

Role Type- Full-time, Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Retail Risk Governance team overseeing first line processes that affect credit risk, ensuring that those processes are well managed and operating within second line policy.

As a Manager within the team, you will work on various initiatives that relate to the Small Business portfolio. This will include-
  • developing, reviewing and updating policy frameworks and processes to ensure a clear and consistent approach to the identification, assessment and management of credit risk;
  • completing targeted analytical reviews on portfolio segments, ensuring the consistent and effective implementation of the credit risk management framework in the portfolio; and
  • preparing and socialising written reports to influence uplift across first line processes.

This role is a line manager to three direct reports who will assist you with the above responsibilities.

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following-
  • Degree in a numerate, statistical, or commercial discipline.
  • Understanding of retail lending and the credit life cycle, including the application of credit policy, strategies and processes.
  • Good applied statistics skills, including experience using the SAS analytics platform.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong capabilities to articulate complex analytical information. Strong facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective risk management solutions and to influence change.
