Naval Group Australia (NGA) is seeking a Procurement Governance Officer to join the Future Submarine program. The largest and most ambitious defence acquisition program Australia has ever undertaken. Professional challenges don’t come any bigger than this.

Playing a key role in the wider procurement team, the successful individual will establish and implement local and global procurement business processes for NGA.


More specifically, the Procurement Governance Officer will:

  • Work with the NGA procurement team, other internal stakeholders, and the Process and Internal Control Team based in France, to coordinate and align procurement business processes;
  • Lead governance and process requirements in accordance with regulatory and Naval Group global business rules;
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of all procurement procedures, governance and reporting activities; and
  • Provide support for the development, execution and monitoring of risk controls across key business processes.


To be successful in this position, the role suits a candidate that:

  • Has a certification or professional accreditation in procurement, contracting, business, commerce and/or engineering;
  • Is experienced in working in a functional services role;
  • Has strong interpersonal, communication and prioritisation skills; and
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptive and innovative when providing procurement advice to stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
