This role is a key contributor to ING’s organizational strategy, and provides leadership to a team of Senior Tech Risk Advisors. In this role, you as a manager will provide effective leadership by fostering an environment that encourages accountability, integrity, personal growth, and commitment to a customer centric culture.

The Manager of Tech Risk will have an eye to future technology (1) that will help our clients to stay a step ahead in life and in business, (2) that will enable optimisation and transformation of our Delivery and Operations, and (3) that will help keep our bank secure in the face of the rapidly changing threat landscape.

You will have the ability to work collaboratively at all levels to influence change and deliver innovative solutions, demonstrate the ability to apply strategic and operational business approaches to achieve strategic risk management outcomes.

What are you going to do? You’ll be…

  • Develop staff to high engagement and high skill level in the area of risk management at ING Australia.
  • Proactively taking away impediments that Tech Risk Advisors face in managing the Non-Financial Risks of ING Australia.
  • Ensure that leadership within ING Australia has clear designated accountability and responsibilities to manage Non-Financial Risks.
  • Actively align/embed the risk processes in the business (specifically IT Development (“Delivery”) and IT Operations (“Tech Infra”)), to achieve an efficient and effective risk framework, supported by tools and understandable guidance for stakeholders.
  • Build, sustain and contribute to the continuous organisational learning process in relation to Tech Risk and Cyber Security.
  • Determine and develop process for collecting relevant metrics and reporting to align with regulatory requirements and governance frameworks.
  • Effective alignment to Global risk practices, re-use of global processes and systems.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance with all company policies, risk appetite, and legislative requirements, including NCCP.
  • Work with key business stakeholders to deliver expert guidance on Technology Risk and resilience best practices, governance and effective controls
  • Ensure appropriate management of customer information in line with regulatory requirements.
What are we looking for?
  • Ideally 10+ years Non-Financial Risk related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, of which at least 5 years has been at a manager level.
  • Demonstrated experience in (Non-Financial) Risk strategic planning, organization design and development, including harnessing of automation for Tech Risk/Security processes.
  • Proven experience with the application (implementation) of Policies and Procedures. Hands on experience with deploying security controls.
  • Significant technical knowledge of platforms and information security, cyber security, and technology risk.
  • Experience with the implementation of NFR Framework within business units
  • Practical experience in managing stakeholders to effect change, including strong influencing skills
  • CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP or similar IT or risk certification.
  • Exposure to SQL/Oracle, Data Tech, Cloud//AWS/Azure or Automation environments.
  • Good to have experience in banking, finance or Insurance etc.
  • Good to have understanding of Agile/Project Management development methodology.
