We have an opportunity for two Communications Advisers to be part of the Communication and Digital Services Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

This team operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to deliver best-practice and innovative communication and digital services across the department.

These are specialist positions that develops and implements effective communication plans to support the agency’s programs, strategic objectives and priorities. In this context, incumbents are required to use good judgement, initiative, and creativity to provide specialist advice and services on communication approaches that can reach and engage the intended audience.

Sound knowledge, skills, and experience in communication planning, preferably in a government context, along with excellent skills in writing and editing to produce simple and plain English content. Experience working in a busy communication team juggling competing priorities to meet deadlines is essential.

Special Conditions

  • Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment
  • Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive
  • Term contract until 17 December 2021
  • Based at Adelaide CBD or Glenside
  • Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required
  • You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations
  • You may be required to undertake training and be willing to participate in emergency preparedness and response activities required by government agencies
