Monash Medical Centre’s Emergency Department is expanding with Ongoing Registered Nurse (Adult & Paediatric) positions available with the opportunity to further progress your Nursing career within a supportive Education and Tertiary based environment!


About our Emergency Services at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton 


Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities. Monash Health Emergency Services treat over 200,000 emergency patients a year at Monash Medical Centre Clayton campus, Dandenong Hospital and Casey Hospital. Patients have access to a full range of treatment options, including intensive care.


The Emergency Department (ED) at Monash Medical Centre (MMC) is a Tertiary level department with separate Adult and Paediatric areas. Onsite access to Tertiary Level Higher Care for Paediatrics as well as Cardiac and Neuro surgery and a diverse range of specialist support services. MMC’s Emergency Services is expanding and upgrading and will include:



  • Adult Emergency Department Expansion

  • Dedicated Children’s Emergency 

  • Additional Short Say Beds

  • Cutting Edge Technology

  • Improved Ambulance Access


About The Role


Due to our expansion, we have a number of positions for Registered Nurses (RNs) with demonstrated experience in acute/critical care who are passionate about delivering outstanding patient centred emergency care.


Positions available in Adult, Paediatrics (preferred) or Both and include ongoing full or part-time or fixed term contract roles.


Availability to work a minimum of 24 Hrs per week and across a 24/7 rotating roster is required.


Ongoing positions available for accomplished critical care RN's to work in a highly dynamic, fast paced and patient and team centred ED with the enviable opportunity to upskill and further develop your Nursing career within a supportive Education environment.

  • demonstrated clinical experience within an acute/critical setting

  • committed to delivering patient centred care and patient advocacy

  • enthusiastic, compassionate and able to work collaboratively

  • willingness to learn and further develop clinical/leadership skills

What You Need



  • Relevant qualification required & a postgraduate qualification in Emergency Nursing is highly desirable

  • Demonstrated emergency/critical and/or acute care clinical skills

  • Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA

  • Australian working rights
