Experienced Change Manager in IT required to join NSW State Government for an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, commencing ASAP

  • $800-$850 per day + Super, depending on experience | 38hours per week
  • NSW State Government| Sydney CBD Location
  • ASAP start | Estimated 6-month temporary assignment, potential to extend

Our large NSW State Government client delivers insurance and care services to the community of NSW. Whether a person is severely injured in the workplace or on our roads, they support their long-term care needs to improve quality of life outcomes, including helping people return to work. They are currently seeking an experienced Change Manager to join their team in Sydney CBD. This is an estimated 6 month temporary assignment, potential to extend

Reporting to the Principal, Portfolio Change Practice, you will be required to identify, manage and implement end to end change strategies that support the successful and effective delivery of projects. This will include ensuring change strategies and plans maximise adoption and minimise resistance whilst leading to increased benefits realisation and successful outcomes for the organisations Customers.

In this role you will be responsible for however not limited to the following –

  • Developing and facilitating the engagement and approval of the change strategy/approach for allocated projects with an intention to optimise adoption and embedment of the change
  • Work with the GM Business Owners, key stakeholders and project team to identify and assess impacts, assess organisational readiness and develop adoption and transition plans containing all necessary activities to engage and embed the business to new ways of working.
  • Facilitate the definition of Benefits and complete the Benefits realisation plan with the project Business Owner and stakeholders
  • Management and delivery of the Change plan working with change support areas such as communications, learning, customer experience and human resources as required to maximise adoption of the change
  • Assess organisational readiness prior to Go Live and develop transition plans containing all necessary activities to migrate the business to new ways of working
  • Managing and monitoring the business impact, implementing reinforcement strategies to support benefits realisation
  • Provide input into Enterprise View of Change calendar monthly
  • Participate in discussions and decisions regarding resolution of issues and implementation of innovation and best practice
  • Represent work group perspective and share information
  • Respond and resolve queries, providing information and/or resources or redirect to the appropriate person or business unit if required
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships and open channels of communication to provide and obtain information, and ensure effective management and implementation of expectations and standards
  • Engage with, consult, seek clarification and provide advice and responses to ensure the prompt resolution of issues



To secure this great assignment you will have the following –
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Change, Project Management or an equivalent field
  • Change management certification essential
  • Public Sector experience highly desirable
  • Impeccable communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
